The Service Provider Market has always been fairly well established in Core Technologies’ geographical territory. Many of the technological advances in Telecommunications over the past 20 years originated in our area. Some of the Industry’s premier advanced technology labs and innovation centers are located within our area. Core Technologies has earned and enjoys preferred status on many of supplier lists of some of the most recognizable named in the Telecom Industry. Many of these relationships date back 20 years.
Test Equipment and Test Applications for Service Providers historically began in the Labs. Bell Labs. That philosophy carried over to what became called the “Baby Bells” upon divestiture in 1984. Today ATT’s Bell Labs still exists with extinsive Lab facilities in NJ. The Core Technologies sales team has been a valued supplier and Partner to the Labs long enough to remember what a WECO KS designation meant to the various operating companies. We’ve nutured those relationships over the years. Verizon, Comcast, Cablevision, and AT&T still follow the same product selection methodology. They’ll test and “approve” products in a lab environment, usually under programs submitted by their Operations Groups. The only truly effective way to ensure your product selection makes its desired progression from the Labs, to field trials, and finally into the Field, is to make sure that somebody follows the progress the entire way. This is exactly what we’ve been doing since our incorporation. Even small changes in how a prospective manufacturer “handles” this process — changes in Sales personnel, multiple changes in Product engineering representatives, or wholesale and continous shake ups in Sales Channels — can jeopardize the eventual succcess of the ongoing potential. These are often long-term cycles, and having a local representative who understands the cycle, and has demonstrated a proven ability to “bring home the win” is a valuable asset to any manufacturer’s overall game plan.
